Objectives

Theophilus College of Nursing, Kangazha is one of the teaching institutions under the umbrella of Manohar Hill Charitable Trust. The trust is focusing on social service and expresses care and compassion. It established in the year 1964 by late Mr. P. Geevarghese. The trust was developed with clear vision not only to provide the best health care burt also to provide high quality education. This is one of thefirst Nursing College established in Private sector. It started in 2002.
Theophilus College of Nursing established in the year 2002 with an intention to develop global nursing education and research. The institution provides excellent teaching and learning opportunities to its students. The multifunctional labs in the college provide opportunities to students excel their skills.

This prospectus contains the rules & regulations applicable for selection and admission to B.Sc. Nursing course in Theophilus College of Nursing for the academic year 2023-2024.

General Objective Of The Course

At the end of four year BSc Nursing course the students will be able to :

  • Assimilate the scientific knowledge from biological, social, behavioural and health sciences and apply it in providing nursing care
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities and acquire skills in problem solving and decision making at different levels of work
  • Utilize the latest trends and technology in providing care
  • Practice standards of care within legal boundaries
  • Collaborate with health team members and demonstrate skill in providing health care to all age groups at all settings.
  • Evaluate the care and make the necessary changes in care
  • Strive continuously to improve the quality of care
  • Demonstrate skill organizing and providing health awareness and screening camps in hospital and community
  • Maintain meaningful relationship with individual, family, community, colleagues and superiors
  • Undertake and participate research projects to update the professional knowledge
  • Organize and engage in continuing education programmes and update the knowledge
  • Assume the responsibility of a citizen in a democratic society in continuing the development of society
